      open Space Program
From April to October, our Open Space Program offers Beecher House as a facility for weekend retreats. Beecher House was originally built in 1867 by James Beecher, a Protestant minister, and brother of abolitionist writer Harriet Beecher Stowe. It faces beautiful Beecher Lake, nestled within 1,400 acres of unspoiled forest. Some of the groups we have hosted are yoga, 12-step, corporate offsite, and massage training. For larger groups, the monastery can also be used. Beecher House is only available to groups with a minimum of 12 people. You will enjoy three delicious vegetarian meals, and snacks, tea and coffee thoroughout the day. In addition, you may choose to join the residents in their daily Zen practice.

If you are looking for some quiet time alone, O-An cottage is available. This lovely cottage has its own kitchen and bathroom facilities and can sleep two people comfortably. There is abundant wildlife and spectacular mountain scenery, but most of all there is quiet and a sense of serenity that provides a perfect place to learn and grow. We will need at least 2 weeks advance notice for guests at O-An cottage. Please call the office at (845) 439-4566, or .
